Four teams, composed of the best players from the French Academy, will compete for the title under the watchful eyes of their respective captains: Mellow, Bali, Oracio, and Rowkins, iconic figures of the Wild Rift scene. The rosters will be revealed the evening before the event (Saturday 16) on our Twitter, stay tuned…
This competition is meant to be fun and light-hearted, a sort of celebration before the Christmas holidays.
The entire event will be broadcast live on our Twitch La Faille Sauvage, promising once again to experience a unique moment with a casting crew that you particularly enjoy!
French Academy: Community Initiative on Wild Rift
Why the French Academy?
“The French Academy was created following the 3rd edition of Choc de La Faille (the reference Francophone competition), with the idea to guide and coach players without a team but wanting to get more involved in the game's competitive scene.”
It's a key initiative in the Francophone Wild Rift ecosystem, how did you go about it?
“To do this, we invited all the coaches and managers from the FR scene to join the project. Subsequently, very competitive players joined us by taking on the role of tutors to help players in their respective roles. Some of them will be participating on Sunday. The goal was to invite players whose potential we assumed or who hadn't played competitively for several months or years.”
Concretely, how does it work?
“We decided to divide the project into several phases, first a ranking with ratings provided by the supervisors. This first phase ends in mid-December, and thanks to the ranking, we will start the second phase on January 7th, where teams of the same level will be created and then supervised by the organization's coaches.”
And the Christmas Cup in all of this?
“To mark the end of this first phase, we decided to organize a fun competition where the tutors will each take 4 other players from the French Academy to form a team and compete in a small bracket.
The French Academy aims to establish itself in the long term to set the rhythm for the year between different community competitions of Wild Rift (CLF, Rift Legends…).
Our goal is to help smaller structures recruit players with more experience and knowledge to develop the enthusiasm and average level of the French competitive Wild Rift.”
THANK YOU to those who have been particularly involved so far: Alan, Mess, Benz, Hitmad, Mars, Fugitif, Bali, Oracio, Chris, and Rowkins

In Summary
The Christmas Cup is an opportunity to come together and celebrate all that makes the richness of the French Wild Rift scene before closing out 2023. This competition will be the last event before the break for the French Academy, before resuming on January 7th with phase 2, always in pursuit of an even more exciting competitive scene…
